THE
INFOCOMM
Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) has launched the Neu
PC Programme to enable lowerincome families to own a personal
computer (PC).
Families with a monthly gross household income not exceeding
S$2,000 can either purchase a new PC at less than S$300, or
receive a refurbished one for free. The PC is installed with
Microsoft Windows and Works, and comes with a one-year carry-in
warranty, one-year Pacific Internet subscription and free basic
IT training under the National IT Literacy Programme.
