TEACHING SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATION CEREMONY 2002
The Ministry of Education (MOE)
will be holding its Teaching Scholarship Presentation Ceremony on Saturday, 3
August 2002 at 2.30 pm at the Grand Ballroom Level 4, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.
The Guest-of-Honour for the ceremony is the Minister for Education & Second Minister
for Defence, RAdm (NS) Teo Chee Hean.
2 A total of 241 awards will be given this
year. The breakdown is as follows :

The Public Service Commission (PSC) offers the following teaching scholarships for
undergraduate studies:-
(a) Overseas Merit Scholarship (OMS)
(b) Local-Overseas Merit Scholarship (L-OMS)
(c) Singapore Government Scholarship (SGS)

Those going on to Honours/AMP or graduating
from Honours/AMP will receive $6000 as back-payment of 1 year's tuition fees, payable in 2
tranches. Those pursuing Honours in a teaching subject will receive maintenance allowance
of $4000 per annum and tuition fees. |
